- The Loddon Bridge Park and Ride site is located next to the Showcase Cinema between Winnersh and Earley, at the junction of the A329(M) motorway with A329 Wokingham Road and B3270 Lower Earley Way
- The site is clearly signed on all approach roads
- Six disabled parking spaces are provided adjacent to the main site entrance, allowing easy access to the first bus stop on site
- The other two bus stops on site are also accessible for wheelchair users
- The service is operated by the Goldline division of Reading Transport
- Drivers will lower the front section of the bus on request to allow easy boarding and alighting
- It is possible to board and alight from the buses at four marked stops in and close to the town centre, although it is not possible to guarantee level entry and exit on every occasion
Madejski Stadium

- The Park and Ride site is located next to the Madejski Stadium, to the south of Reading
- It is reached via the A33 dual carriageway, and is clearly marked on the approaches
- The parking area is uneven and not ideally suited for wheelchair users
- However, the approach paths to the bus stop are tarmac, with raised kerbs to facilitate boarding and alighting from the low-floor buses
- The Madejski Stadium Fast track service is operated by First Beeline, and the buses serve two marked stops in Reading town centre
- Drivers will lower the front section of the bus on request to allow easy boarding and alighting, although it is not possible to guarantee level entry and exit on every occasion
Concessionary Fares
Reading Borough Council operates a concessionary fare scheme, which offers free travel for Senior Citizens and disabled people on Reading Buses. There are three types of pass:
Senior Citizens Bus Pass
- Applicants for the Senior Citizen pass have to show that they live in the borough
- The minimum age is 60
- Applications are made to the main reception desk in the Civic Offices
- You will need to bring proof of age (pension book, medical card or birth certificate) and proof of permanent residence (pension book, bank statement, or bills )
Access Bus Pass
- This permit is available to anyone who has a permanent disability which seriously affects their mobility
- People who are profoundly deaf or without speech
- Blind or visually impaired people who are unable to judge the size or speed of vehicular traffic
- People with learning difficulties and
- People who have been refused a driving licence or have had their driving licence revoked on medical grounds
- Applications consist of a two-part form, one section of which is completed and returned by your doctor
Companion Pass
- Available to people needing to accompany the Access Permit holder for reasons of safety, confidence or practical help
- The companion pass is issued in the name of the Access Permit holder and the companion may only use the permit in conjunction with the Access Pass holder and not independently
