Consumer Advice Service

Consumer Advice on Trading Standards issues is available from a dedicated consumer advice service in the Civic Centre. Staff are on hand to offer advice and help to consumers and businesses wanting to know their legal rights relating to goods and services.

We are also working in partnership with the national advice service Consumer Direct. They offer help and advice to all consumers in Reading (regardless of age, gender, social background or ethnic group) who are buying or have bought goods or services. The advice and information they give is free and you can call as many times as you need to.
