Consumer Protection Team

The Consumer Protection team consists of Environmental Health (Commercial) and Trading Standards. Environmental Health (Commercial) inspect businesses to ensure they comply with food safety and health and safety law. They investigate enquiries and complaints about unfit food, food premises and practices, infectious diseases (including food poisoning) and workplaces and take appropriate action when necessary.
