Housing Strategy

The Council’s Housing Strategy sets out a shared framework to respond to housing issues across all tenures in the town. The strategy is not only concerned with the development of new homes, but takes account of existing housing - its condition, cost and accessibility. It also aims to ensure that people’s different and changing needs are acknowledged, and that they can successfully establish and maintain their homes.
