Public Health Team

The Council's Public Health Team deals with enquiries on a range of problems, including rubbish, noise, drainage, bonfires, pest control and stray or noisy dogs and dog fouling. We also carry out immigration inspections (for which there is a standard charge). Officers can also give educational talks to school groups on topics such as noise measuring.

We liaise with various other Council departments where appropriate, as well as other government departments, such as The Environment Agency. Under certain circumstances we take legal action against those causing a nuisance if negotiation and advice does not work
