Online Payments

The Reading Borough Council online payment service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except for 5.30pm-6.00pm on weekdays, and uses the highest standards of security to ensure it is safe and secure to use.

You can pay for the following with your debit or credit card by using the Related Information Box - Make a Payment link found at the top of this page.

• Business Rates
• Council Tax
• Housing or garage rent
• Invoices

Parking Fines

You can also pay a parking fine with your debit or credit card by using the Related Information Box - Pay a Parking Fine link found at the top of this page.

Guidance Notes

Reading Borough Council accept Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Delta, Electron and Solo cards. Payment requests using this system are subject to authorisation and clearance timescales, it should never take more than 24 hours for your payment to be received and posted to us. However if you make a payment over £1000 we may need authorisation from your card issuer.

To use this service please have debit or credit card you intend to use to hand, and the account number for the bill you wish to pay.

Your account number can be found on:

• Your last bill for Council Tax and Business Rates
• Your last increase letter or payment Card for rents
• Your invoice/correspondence from the payments section
• If you cannot find your account number, contact the relevant office during office hours (9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday)
