If you are experiencing financial difficulties you don't need to struggle through alone - there are lots of local and national advice services who can give you the advice and support you need and help you deal with stress.

Advisers working for these organisations are fully trained and understand how worrying it can be when your finances get out of control. They are non judgemental and they won't tell you what to do. They will explain your options and possible outcomes of different courses of action. You will be encouraged to make your own decisions and act on your own behalf, but support is available if you need it.

See "Contact This Service" for details of local advice services

You can find links to the websites of  FREE local and national services below. These services are confidential, independent and impartial.

WARNING: You should avoid debt help or loan consolidation companies that advertise on the TV or newspapers. These are commercial business and are there to make money. They may be able to help you lower your monthly repayments but you will  end up paying more.
