The Reading branch of Berkshire Family History Society have their next monthly meetings, on Thursday 26th October, when Margaret Crook will be helping us in 'Overcoming Pitfalls and Problems'. No one is able to trace their family without encountering problems and having to overcome pitfalls. Perhaps you can't find your ancestor in a census, there may be confusions about the name, or place of birth, marriage or death; someone may have given you information you have doubts about, or there is information on the family tree which you know is wrong. Referring to personal problems and solutions found, this talk will hopefully show you how to overcome some of your problems and give you some pointers to help you get around your brick wall.

Doors open at 7.15pm for a 7.45pm start at our usual venue Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 280 Meadway, Tilehurst RG30 4PE. All are welcome - free entry, but donations gratefully received. We hope to see you there.
Don't forget to keep an eye on the Society website at www.berksfhs.org.uk, for events at other branches and all the latest Society news, or pop into the Research Centre next to Yeomanry House and Berkshire Record Office, at the Castle Hill/Coley Avenue junction.
