History of Reading Society

The History of Reading Society continue their 2017 monthly gatherings on Wednesday 18th October, with a talk by Ken Brown and Chris Widdows on the History of Reading School. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start at Abbey Baptist Church, Abbey Square, Reading, RG1 3BE. Free entry to members, £2 for visitors.
Membership forms available at all Reading and Wokingham libraries and in selected outlets around Reading, or at our monthly indoor meetings. There will also be the opportunity to purchase the new book by David Cliffe entitled Picture Palace to Penny Plunge, about Reading's cinemas. This is the first of what we hope will be many books funded by the History of Reading Society.
