RBL Acting School - ages 8 to 18 years

In-depth theatre training for 8-18 year olds serious about acting.

We're absolutely delighted to announce that we're bringing a unique type of training to Reading, for students who love acting.

The course, for 8-18 year olds, focuses on 3 key principles:
Physicality - stage combat and movement classes with professional combat choreographer, Mark Middleton, will develop new skills and professional, Equity accredited, qualifications from the Academy of Performance Combat (APC).

Creativity - devising and improvisation lessons develop new skills and increased confidence. Students work with professional improvisation teacher, Seamus Allen, to create scenes and sketches. Performance opportunities at improv nights will offer students the chance to share their new skills with audiences and to develop their confidence.
Believability - students learn to create characters and explore text for performance. Monologues, duologues and scenes will all be developed for performance at the end of term RBL Acting School Showcase. Students also have the option of taking a LAMDA acting exam.

Students will also receive training and workshops from guest professionals from across the industry, including directors, choreographers and actors from RBL's shows, the West End, National Theatre, Film and TV.

To enrol for a free trial on the 8th September, or for more information, please email or call Toby on 07834 235 620.
RBL are offering 2 scholarships of 50% off course fees per year to students who show exceptional promise. If you wish to be considered please state so in your email.
