About

Mapledurham Playing Fields and Pavilion are used year round by a wide variety of people; including families, dog walkers, nature lovers, football teams, schools, play groups and the Mapledurham Lawn Tennis Club. The Pavilion plays host to the bridge club, the Escape playgroup, a variety of children's clubs, an organic market, birthday parties and charity events. The site is made up of a large open area and an area of revived woodland. The open area includes an area of close mown grass as well as meadow grass with wild flower margins. The woodland has mainly maple, elm and oak trees. There is also an ancient boundary bank which runs along the edge of the woodland.
