THE HEIGHTS SCHOOL PERMANENT SITE CONSULTATION PROCESS

Following a request from the Education Funding Agency (EFA) for the Council to work with them to consult residents about potential locations for The Heights free school, this report sets out the overall decision making framework for Free Schools and the role of the planned consultation along with the actions that the EFA are undertaking in preparation. It also outlines the proposed scope and three-stage process of the consultation.

BUDGET 2015-16: APPROVAL OF COUNCIL TAX BASE, NNDR1 ESTIMATE & ESTIMATED COLLECTION FUND SURPLUS

This report asks the Committee to recommend to Council the uprating of the allowances in the council tax support scheme, the adoption of the Council Tax Reduction Schemes (Prescribed Requirements) (England) (Amendment) (No 2) Regulations 2014, and the approval of the estimated Council Tax collection rate and Council Tax base for 2015/16. The Committee is also asked to note the estimated Collection Fund surplus and approve the National Non-Domestic Rates (NNDR1) form, which will be circulated with other additional information in a supplementary report.
