Waste Policies and Statistics

The recycling of domestic waste is influenced by policies and targets set by Government (who may, themselves, have been influenced by European legislation) and applied to local authorities. Increasingly those targets are designed to take into account local circumstances and have, in some cases, replaced "blanket", Countrywide targets.

The pages in this section explain some of the targets that Reading will be attempting to achieve, where Reading is in relation to those targets and lastly some interesting information.
