Station Area Framework

The Council is consulting on a Draft Station Area Framework, between 19 February and 2 April 2010.  This is a Supplementary Planning Document setting out principles and guidelines for how development around the station should take shape, focusing particularly on the area to the north.  As such, it will supplement the Reading Central Area Action Plan, which allocated this area for development.

Your comments are welcome on this document. Comments may be made to the LDF Team at the Council by e-mail (see contact details on this page) or in writing, to: Planning LDF Team, Civic Offices, Reading, RG1 7AE.

Hard copies of the document are available to view in Reading Borough Council libraries during normal library opening hours, and in the reception of the Civic Offices between 9am and 5pm on weekdays. Documents are also available to view on this page.

Exhibitions on the document, aliong with other planning consultation documents, will be held at the following venues and times, and officers will be present to discuss the documents and answer questions:

2 March 2010 Battle Library 2pm to 7pm
4 March 2010 Caversham Library 2pm to 7pm
9 March 2010 South Reading Youth and Community Centre 9am to 1pm
9 March 2010 Tilehurst Library 2pm to 7pm
10 March 2010 South Reading Youth and Community Centre 2pm to 7pm
12 March 2010 Civic Centre, Committee Room 1, 2pm to 7pm

In addition, there will be presentations and an opportunity to participtae in workshops at an open public meeting at the Victoria Hall, in the Town Hall, Blagrave Street, on 22 March 2010, 6.30 - 9 pm.
