Reading’s Sustainable Community Strategy sets out a new Vision for Reading to take us forward over the next twenty years, with a strong emphasis and focus on our People as the primary basis for everything else that affects our Place and our Prosperity.

We take pride in our town. We engage with and are involved in the decisions and activities thatshape it. We value everyone for the contribution they make to the life and richness of the town.

There is greater equality and inclusion across the town’s communities. We make healthy life choices to stay fit and well for longer and as we grow older.

As individuals across all generations we have every opportunity to realise our full potential: the cycle of inter-generational poverty has been broken.
