It is you, the user of a service, whether you are a child, young person, parent or carer, who is best placed to tell us whether the service is working, and what changes needs to be made to improve the service.

Young people from Reading told us about the difference meaningful participation can make:

“We need a place to put across our views so they can be considered, or even better taken and used.”

“Our views can be listened to and taken into account meaning that we feel less insignificant.”

All of the agencies of the Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership (CYPSP) have committed to a single vision for the involvement of children, young people, parents and carers in the design, delivery and development of every children and young people’s service in Reading.

Please use this participation area, if you are a child, young person, parent or carer, to find out more about opportunities to engage with services you work with, to have a say in developments and improvements they are making, or, if you are a professional, to access the guidance, support or knowledge to ensure participation is effective and in line with the CYPSP participation strategy.
