The following search facility will find the designated area schools for a specified Reading address. Each community school has a designated area. It is sometimes known as 'catchment area'. Designated area is part of the admission authority's oversubscription criteria and is used to prioritise application for places if there are more applications than places available. It does not mean that you have to send your child to the designated area school nor does it guarantee your child's admission to that school.
