Food Safety Course

The council runs in-house the following two food safety/hygiene courses:

• The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Level 2 award in food safety in catering course. This is a one day course that covers all major aspects of food hygiene and is suitable for all food handlers who are responsible for providing safe, clean food. On completion of a short multiple choice test, a certificate will be awarded to successful delegates.
• The Safer Food Better Business course. This is a half day course which is aimed at providing food businesses with a documented food safety management system required by the food hygiene regulations 2006.
