Mobile Food Traders

As a mobile food trader you need to be fully aware that by law there are certain standards you MUST meet. These concern three main areas:

• Food Safety
• Health and Safety
• Licensing conditions

Reading Borough Council has produced these pages to give you the advice and practical help you need towards meeting the legal requirements in all these areas. They are intended to help mobile food traders operating from stalls where hot food is sold. Other traders, however, like market stall holders and ice cream vans who sell and prepare food in the open air, will also find our information useful.
