Sensory Needs Services

The Deaf Services Team and the Visual Impairment Team offer specialist advice and support services for adults and children who are:

• deaf
• hearing impaired
• blind
• visually impaired
• deafblind

These services are provided to Reading residents by Wokingham District Council on behalf of Reading Borough Council.  If you have a visual or hearing impairment you can contact the teams direct and ask for an assessment.

If you are receiving care and support from Children and Family Services, Community Care Services or local health care services you can ask your care worker to refer you to the team.
