Better Care Higher Standards

Better Care Higher Standards is a charter explaining community services arranged or provided by Reading Borough Council’s Community Care and Housing Directorate, Reading Primary Care Trust, Berkshire Healthcare NHS Trust and the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. Together we aim to help people to stay as independent and healthy as possible.

The charter aims to promote better working between our organisations, raise service standards and make it easier for you to get the advice and support that you need.

This charter is for you if you are an adult in Reading who needs help to maintain your independence because you have a long-term illness or disability, have become frail through age or you are the main carer of a dependent adult.

The charter tells you what you can expect from us when you ask us for help.
