Charges
Some Community Care Services (such as assesments, advice and some equipment ) are provided free of charge.
Other Services (such as meals on wheels) have a fixed charge and everyone pays the same amount regardless of their fincnail situation.
The amount you pay for home, day and residential care services depends on how much you can afford to pay.
If you are eligible for help from Community care services we will assess your financial situation to see how much you will have to pay, if anything, towards the cost of your care. We also offer information and advice on any welfare benefits you may be entitled to and help you to apply if you would like us to.
The "12 Week Property Disregard" and "Deferred Payments Scheme" provide help for people who own property and need to pay for residential care.
