Are you one of the many pensioners across the country who are not getting the Pension Credit or Attendance Allowance you are entitled to?

Pension Credit

Pension Credit is a payment to boost the income for those on low or moderate income. Extra allowances may be made if you are disabled, a carer or if you have certain housing costs (mortgage or service charges) because the amount you need to live on is higher than for average pensioners. If you only just missed out a few years ago, try again, as the income thresholds have been raised over the years. If you first applied when you were 60, try again once you are over 65.

Attendance Allowance

People who are less mobile, forgetful or need help with personal care tasks (like washing, dressing, preparing meals etc.) may qualify for Attendance Allowance - a tax free payment. Attendance Allowance has no capital or income limits and you don’t need to have help or even be prepared to accept help to get it - the allowance is awarded on the basis of help needed, not the help you get. Receiving Attendance, Allowance may even increase your entitlement to Pension Credit, Rent or Council Tax Benefit.
