If you have diffiuclty with day to day tasks because you are older or have a physical or sensory disabilitiy you may want to look at how daily living equiment could help improve your quality of life.
There is a wide range of equipment and living aids available which help you stay active and give you back all or some your independence. These include things like:

- flashing doorbells
- vibrating alarm clocks

Getting the right equipment
being clear about your needs is the key to getting the right equipment., so we recommend that you ask for a free Assessment of Needs from Community Care Services.
A professional assessment will help us understand your needs so we can advice you about the types of aids and equipment that will help you do the things you want to to do on your own and help you stay safe so you can make an informed decision.
If your assessment shows you are eligble for support funded by Community Care and we will loan you the equipment you need and want free of charge.
If you are not eligible for support from the Council we can give you information about local suppliers. You can find information and advice about buying equipment from the websites below:
