In recent years there has been increased publicity about adult abuse so many more people are aware that vulnerable adults may be at risk of abuse and want to do something about it.

Local authorities across west Berkshire, the police and local health service and a range of private and voluntary agencies work together as the "Wokingham, Reading and West Berkshire Adult Protection Committee.  Our aim is to try and prevent abuse occurring and stopping it when happens.

This section of the website gives information on adult abuse: who is at risk, the types of abuse they face, who might be an abuser and what to do if you are being abused or are concerned that someone you know is at risk.
