Contacting Housing Services

Housing Services offers a wide range of information, advice and support on tenancy issues. You can access these services:

• in person
• by phone
• by email
• through the website

In person

Come to the Housing Reception on the ground floor of the Civic Offices (open Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm except bank holidays). If you wish to see your Neighbourhood Officer (NO) you will need to make an appointment as NOs spend much of their day on the estates they manage.. 

Visit your local Housing Advice Shop:

• Lyon Square Housing Advice Shop (Lyon Square, Dee Park)
• Southcote Housing Advice Shop (Coronation Square)
• Whitley Housing Advice Shop (479 Northumberland Avenue)

If you need to speak to your Neighbourhood Officer in person but cannot get to the Civic Offices or your local advice shop you can ask them visit you at home.

For general advice on tenancy issues:

Call  0118 939 0161 during normal office hours.  If your question/enquiry is straightforward we will respond to your question/enquiry directly. However, if your question/enquiry is more complicated we will ask your to your Neighbourhood Officer to get back to you to discuss the issue in more detail.  

For repairs to your Council home:

Call free on 0800 318 296 (Monday to Friday 8.00- 6.00pm except Bank Holidays). For emergencies outside these times please call 0118 939 0900
