Allotments can improve your health, your diet and the environment too!

Great benefits
Allotments provide a healthy outdoor activity, with the satisfaction of growing your own fruit and vegetables. They also provide a suite to support conservation and habitat for wildlife and plant species.

100% Health
Working on an allotment offers you regular healthy physical activity, is an ideal pastime for the whole family and the fruit and vegetables you produce can form an essential part of a healthy diet.

Get Stuck In!
If you are new to gardening or organising your crops, many of our allotment sites have Site Representatives who can offer advice to help you get the most from your plot.

Volunteering to Help Wildlife Conservation in Reading
Reading is surprisingly rich in wildlife, much of it is just around the corner form your home. Every week volunteers are out in the woods and parks of Reading helping maintain these areas for the benefits of the wild flowers and animals. If you feel like a day out in the countryside or want a different way to get fit why not join one of the groups near you.
