Transport plan
In March 2006 we produced our second Local Transport Plan (LTP), covering the period 2006-2011. The LTP sets out our objectives, policies and strategies for improving transport in the area and is a bidding mechanism to central Government for the funding provision to implement those measures and schemes.
The Plan builds on the good progress made through our first LTP (2001-2006), which saw delivery of more than 1,100 schemes on the ground, providing real, supported and accessible improvements to transport, the environment and communities.
