(A) THE MAIDENS SHINFIELD ROAD SCHEME - PETITION
To report to the panel the receipt of a petition about the Maidens Shinfield Road scheme asking for the reinstatement of both roundabouts, to re-widen the carriageway and install safe pedestrian-controlled crossings.
(B) OTHER PETITIONS
To receive any other petitions on traffic management matters submitted in accordance with the Panel’s Terms of Reference.

To report to the Panel the receipt of an informal parking survey/questionnaire carried out by Councillor Davies within the Lower Caversham area.

To update the Panel with progress on Play Streets and seek authorization for a trial scheme.

To seeks scheme and spend approval (Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) funding) for removal of the roundabout along Tay Road, within the Dee Park Estate.

To seek approval to carry out statutory consultation on a proposal to relocate a pelican crossing on the Tilehurst Road in the vicinity of the development at Taylor Court as part of the Section 278 Highway Works associated with the development.

To seek approval to make the Grove Road experimental traffic regulation order introduced in December 2011 and amended in September 2012 pemanent.

To update the Panel on the operation of the pay and display areas located in and around the Town Centre, and seek approval for a change to the Traffic Regulation Orders supporting the Pay and Display Areas outside of the Inner Distribution Road, to increase the maximum parking period from 2 hours to 3 hours.

To seek approval to carry out the statutory processes and procedures required for the application of formal waiting restrictions in Upper Redlands Road, subject to steering group discussion and support.

To advise the Panel of the current reported collisions on the road network within Reading and outline the 2013/14 road safety work programme, and where appropriate seek approval for statutory consultation as required following collision analysis and investigation studies.

To inform the Panel of the £2.421 million (works and fees) programme for Highway Maintenance for 2013/2014 from the Local Transport Plan (LTP) settlement, and the additional funding announced in the Autumn Statement last year for highways maintenance.

To update the Panel on progress with delivery of the Local Sustainable Transport Fund (LSTF) Small Package and Large Partnership Package.

To update the Panel on the LTP3 Implementation Plan and seek approval for the 2013/14 programme and indicative budget.

To seek approval for consultation on a draft Street lighting policy.

To update the Panel on speed survey work and a review of roads with traffic calming.

To inform the Panel of a recent DfT Traffic Advisory Leaflet (TAL), ‘Reducing Sign Clutter’.

To inform the Panel of the discussions and actions arising from the January 2013 meeting of the Cycle Forum under the auspices of the approved Cycling Strategy.
