Readinglovesreading
Readinglovesreading (RLR) aims to:
- encourage enthusiastic children motivated to read in school, at home and for life;
- encourage parents to play their part in their children’s enjoyment and education;
- help schools teach reading well and raise attainment and achievement in KS1 reading results;
- highlight to Reading’s communities the importance of reading to its children.
We have run a variety of fun events and initiatives in order to celebrate and encourage reading in Reading:
- Readinglovesreading Book Awards, voted for the people who live and work in Reading (for this year's winner, see the link below).
- The Underpants Challenge - read more by following the link below.
- Spot a Reader in Reading
- Children's book review competition
Watch this space for further information about forthcoming RLR events.
