Finding a Home Care (Domiciliary Care) Service
There are many local home (or domiciliary) care agencies providing help with daily living activities such as walking, bathing, dressing, feeding, preparation of special diets and supervision of self-administration of medications.
All care services MUST be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). The CQC uses outcomes to see if a service is safe and meets the essential standards of quality and safety. Use the link below to the CQC website to search for services and and see their latest inspections reports .
The Council commissions care services for people who are eligible for support funded by Adult Social Care Services. As a part of our commissioning process we run an accreditation scheme which demands a higher standard of care and ensures agencies offer good value for money. Care agencies that meet our standards are include on our Domiciliary Accreditation Select List (DASL)
