Children with Disabilities and/or Learning Difficulties

Children with disabilities and/or learning difficulties will have a range of needs, depending on their disability, and the support they can access within their families and communities.

A number of teams and services within Reading Borough Council Children’s Services offer services to children with disabilities and their families. Please see the categories on the left-hand side of this page to find out more about the support on offer.

Many families will be able to access services directly themselves. There is a range of services from a variety of providers in Reading. The Family Resource Centre UK has information about these services and how to access them, including Short Break Respite Support. You will find a link to their website at the bottom of this page.
