Your Right To Repair
The Government’s "Your Right to Repair" Scheme ensures that some types of repair are carried out quickly. If one of these repairs is not done on time you can tell us to get another contractor to do the work. If the second contractor does not get the work done on time you may be entitled to compensation.
Only repairs costing less than £250 qualify. The scheme does not apply to communal areas such as hallways in blocks of flats or where repairs are needed because of deliberate damage or neglect by anyone living in the property.
If you think you have reason to make a claim you can contact your Neighbourhood Officer .
