Homechoice at Reading
Long Term Accommodation In Reading
Homechoice at Reading is for people seeking long-term accommodation in a Reading Borough Council property (council house) or a Housing Association property. Homechoice cannot help if you need to move quickly.
Demand for Homechoice properties is very high, so you should continue looking around for somewhere to live - the Housing Advice Service can give advice on where else to look. In the Related Information box on the right there are links that may help.
How Homechoice at Reading Works
- Applicants join the housing register
- We advertise available properties every two weeks
- Applicants on the register can show their interest in a property by making a bid
- Eligible bidders with the highest priority rating are invited to view the property before we make an offer
If Someone Moves In / Out or You Change Address
Once you have been accepted onto the Homechoice Register you must let us know if:
- someone moves in to live with you, or
- someone moves out, or
- if you have changed address
Please report the change QUOTING YOUR PIN NUMBER using the web contact form or by ringing us. Relevant details and relevant link in the Contact This Service box.
