Neighbourhood Action Groups
Each NAG focuses on (usually) three community driven priorities, using local community knowledge to problem solve and bring about real change. They usually meet every 2-3 months to review progress and whether the priorities should be changed. Smaller, priority driven, problem-solving groups will meet more often.
The current NAGs are:
- Upper Caversham
- Lower Caversham
- Oxford Road
- Old Norcot
- Norcot
- Tilehurst
- Southcote
- Coley
- Katesgrove
- Whitley South
- Whitley North
- Redlands and University
- Newtown
- Central Reading
The NAGs have access to fund small scale capital project to help them tackle their local priorities. This has in the past been used for projects such as alley gating and fencing.
If you would like further information on your local NAG please contact the Neighbourhood Project Officer or ring the Thames Valley Police Non-Emergency and ask to speak to the Neighbourhood Policing Administrator for the Reading area - details in the Contact this service box to the top right of this page.
