Debt Advice Services
The local and national advice services listed below offer free and confidential advice and support to help you with money and debt problems.
Advisers working for these organisations are fully trained and understand how worrying it can be when your finances get out of control. They are non-judgemental and won't tell you what to do. They will explain your options and possible outcomes of different courses of action. You will be encouraged to make your own decisions and act on your own behalf, but support is available if you need it.
WARNING: You should avoid debt help or loan consolidation companies advertised on the TV or in newspapers. These are commercial business and are there to make money. They may be able to help you lower your monthly repayments but you could end up paying more.
