Using the search

The advanced search allows the entry of multiple search terms which may well be if the form of a paragraph or simple terms put together using the + character.

The terms that are found within the search box will be extracted and Stemmed (i.e. A search for Housing will include house, housed etc)

Text Only Version

This allows a text only version of the document to view without having to open up the actual document and if the Highlight terms is selected then the search terms will be highlighted within this.

Similar Documents

When this link is clicked on it will take the top 20 terms from the document and use these as the search terms

Search Settings

Advanced Search allows you to alter the settings behind the search to find the document you want.

Minimum % document relevance

Alter this to remove documents from the results that are less relevant to your search criteria

Results per page

This setting controls the number of results per page that are returned

Maximum summary size

This limits the maximum length of the summary

Show document summary

If this control is checked then the document summary will be displayed

Query terms in Bold

If this control is checked then the terms derived from the search criteria will be in bold text where they are found in the summary, dynamic extract and text only version

Web pages only

This option allows you to limit the results set to web pages, documents or All.
