Going Smoke Free - Information for Businesses and Individuals

From 1 July 2007, virtually all indoor public places and workplaces in England will be smoke free.  All businesses will be affected by these new laws. The new law is being introduced to protect employees and members of the public from the harmful effects of second hand smoke.

An advice line has been launched for people wanting to know more about the new law. The number to call is 0800 169 1697.

A new website has also been set up for businesses and members of the public wanting to know more. (See link at bottom of this page to SmokeFree).   From this website you will be able to register for updates and download leaflets and information about the new requirements and how they will affect you.
