Reading Green Park Station

Reading Green Park Station is a proposed new railway station on the Reading to Basingstoke line in south Reading. This scheme, which includes the station, multi-modal interchange and access road, would significantly improve accessibility and connectivity of the existing Green Park business park and surrounding area, including the Green Park Village mixed use development. This scheme is included within the Thames Valley Berkshire Local Growth Deal.

South Reading MRT

South Reading Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) will provide a series of bus priority measures on the A33 between Reading town centre and the Mereoak park & ride facility south of the M4 junction 11. The scheme would reduce congestion and journey times, improving public transport reliability on the main corridor into Reading. This scheme is included within the Thames Valley Berkshire Local Growth Deal.

East Reading MRT

East Reading Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) is a proposed public transport link between central Reading and the proposed Thames Valley Park park & ride site to the east of the Reading urban area, running parallel to the Great Western mainline. The scheme is being jointly promoted by Reading Borough Council and Wokingham Borough Council and it is included within the Thames Valley Berkshire Local Growth Deal.

NCN Cycle Route 422

NCN 422 is a new national cycle route between Newbury and Windsor, including a section within Reading. The scheme is being developed by Reading Borough Council, Wokingham Borough Council, West Berkshire Council, Bracknell Forest Council and the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, and it is included within the Thames Valley Berkshire Local Growth Deal.
