Reading Borough Council is responsible for enforcing parking, loading and waiting restrictions within its boundaries.

The Council has a team of Civil Enforcement Officers (formerly known as Parking Attendants), who enforce parking, loading and waiting restrictions. They work to a plan that gives priority to areas where parking outside the terms of the restrictions causes the worst problems. They also patrol the Council’s public car parks.

These pages provide a guide to parking restrictions in Reading and gives you information on what to do if you receive a parking ticket (Penalty Charge Notice - PCN) and other aspects of the procedure.
