Reading's permanent Farmers' Market.

Reading Farmers' Market was originally set up in Autumn 1999 by Reading Borough Council to encourage sustainability, strengthen the local economy and improve the environment.

They are now run by Thames Valley Farmers' Market Co-operative from the Cattle Market site on Great Knolly's Street. Pay and Display parking is available next to the market.

Why shop at the Farmers' market?

At a farmers' market you will find quality, fresh produce at a fair price. The goods are sold to you directly by the people who produce them and everything comes from within a 30 mile radius of Reading.

All food is produced locally and is as fresh as it can possibly be - it has not been transported around the country for processing.

The stall holders will tell you how they grow their fruit and vegetables, rear their animals or the local source of their material to make their crafts. Many of the stalls sell organic or free range produce.

Farmers' Market dates

Markets are held on the first and third Saturday of each month from 8.30am to 12.00pm.
(Please note: The months of November and December dates may change due to local Christmas events.)
