Since April 2013, every Health & Wellbeing Board in England has had a statutory responsibility to publish a statement of the needs for pharmaceutical services in their area. This is referred to as the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA). Reading Health & Wellbeing Board published their first PNA in April 2015 and this ran until 31st March 2018.
Throughout 2017/18 a revision of the PNA was undertaken. This reassessed the health needs of the local population in Reading, the current pharmacy network and public feedback on current services. We invited the community, partners and key stakeholders to give us their views on a draft report and the conclusions drawn from it.
