This year’s festival celebrates its 34th anniversary with a record four fun packed weeks of events and activities for children all over the borough. The festival gets off to an action packed start with a royal themed Forbury Fiesta on Saturday 6 May, where there will be something for everyone to get involved with on the day. Head down to the Forbury Gardens from 12noon to join in all the fun!
Reading’s Children’s Festival promises to bring plenty of fun, mayhem and madness.
From sport and music workshops to fun days with art and craft sessions, take your pick from the many exciting events taking place at venues across Reading.

Our charging fees will cover your pitch and parking facility for the duration of the day, however you will still need to provide your own tables, chairs and gazebos. If you are a charity, the pitch fee is £31.50. For community groups the fee will be £42. For all commercial stalls there will be a charge of £105 per stall,. We are offering a 10% early bird discount for any stall (charity, community or commercial) who apply before the 13 March. If you are providing a free of charge activity, e.g. a workshop or performance, then we will waive this fee.
We do expect demand to be high. The deadline for applications is Friday 7 April 2023.
