1st Permit: a £40 (£42 after 1 May 2021) charge applies;
2nd Permit: £150 (£157.50 after 1 May 2021) charge applies;
3rd Permit: £300 (£315 after 1 May 2021) charge applies;
Proof of residency, vehicle ownership and statement of reasons is required.
If you are the third applicant for the household you may apply for a discretionary permit, charged at £300. If you select the first or second charged permit, the application will be refused.
There are no fixed criteria for the granting of discretionary permits, each application will be dealt with on their own merits and each decision does not set a precedent for future applications.
The officers (the employed staff) of the council will decide an application for a discretionary permit.
