Supported Living Framework list

Supported Living Framework (SLF) Providers

The following supported living providers have met the council’s quality standards and are contracted by the council to provide supported living services to individuals whose care is funded by the council.

Accommodation based supported living

This is where:

  • The person has their own tenancy
  • The home is often found by the supported living provider
  • Support and housing are separate

Important points:

  • The person does not have to accept support to live in the home
  • The provider must have a clear agreement with the landlord
  • Housing and support responsibilities must be kept separate

This is where the person already has their own home

This could be:

  • Their own tenancy
  • Living with family
  • Owning their home

Support focuses on:

  • Helping people stay active
  • Supporting independence
  • Being part of the local community

This may include:

  • Learning disability
  • Neurodiversity
  • Mental health needs
  • Physical disability
  • More than one of these

Support can be:

  • Accommodation based

If there are concerns, a provider may be given a placement flag:

Placement Flags

  • Red – No new placements can be made
  • Amber – Placements can be made, but with caution

What this means:

  • Red flagged providers are removed from the list until issues are resolved
  • Amber flagged providers stay on the list, but are clearly marked
