Make a complaint or compliment
We want to know if we didn’t do our job properly.
Use the right form
Look around this website to find a form for your problem. We have forms for most common issues. When you use the right form, it goes straight to the team who can help. This means they can fix your problem faster.
Can’t find the right form?
Use our general contact form instead. This form will help you find the information you need. It directs you to parts of the website that may help. You can send us a message through this form too. The information you send doesn’t go straight to the right team, so it might take longer to get help.
Got a serious complaint?
Use our complaints form if we did something really wrong or didn’t meet the standards you expect from us.
Contact a head teacher directly to complain about a school.
Use our councillor complaint form if you think one of our councillors has broken the Councillor Code of Conduct.
You can make complaints about specific services:
- Adult social care feedback
- Healthwatch Reading
- Housing – landlord services complaints
- Children, education and early help services feedback – Brighter Futures for Children’s website page sets out the statutory complaints process. This specifically relates to both children’s social care and other services provided by the company, including Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities. It includes leaflets on both.
If you are not satisfied by our investigation, you can contact the Local Government Ombudsman or Housing Ombudsman for housing complaints.
