The park is medium sized and mostly set out as close mown grass, ideal for informal games and recreation. The are mature lime and horse chestnut trees along the perimeter softening the park from the surrounding development. There are two play areas within the park making it well suited for use by families – particularly those with young children (toddlers). There is also additional provision for older children. As well as pedestrian access there is ample parking available free of charge at the Village Centre car park on Recreation Road.
