Thames and Kennet walk

This is an easy-going 5km linear walk following the Thames Path from Rivermead before heading via Kennet wharfs to Forbury Gardens and to Reading Town Hall. On this walk you take in both rivers with plenty of scenery and wildlife. You can see how the river can be used for sustainable energy and get a chance to walk through Victorian tunnels.

Kennet and Southcote walk

This is an 9km circular walk along the Kennet and Avon Canal, across Southcote meadows and back to the town centre via Prospect Park and west Reading. On this walk you will enjoy the views along the canal, be close to nature at Fobney Wetland Reserve and Southcote Meadows, historic Prospect Park before finally heading back into town.

Town centre walk

This is a 3 km circular walk from Reading Town Hall, taking in some of the many historic and interesting places within Reading. On this walk you will enjoy ornamental gardens, a canalside stroll as well as some of the oldest buildings and churches in Reading before finishing at Reading Museum.

Caversham walk

This is an 9.5km circular walk from the northern interchange at Reading Railway Station though Caversham and Caversham Heights, to Reading Station via St Peter’s Churchyard, Caversham Court and Caversham Bridge.
