Crematorium and Cemetery Open Morning

As part of the Dying Matter Awareness Week 2021 Reading Crematorium and Henley Road Cemetery are hosting an Open Morning on Wednesday 12th May.

Visitors can view the chapels and ask questions of the staff. Unfortunately we cannot allow guided tours of the crematorium this year, instead we have produced a short video presentation of what takes place behind the scenes.

Visitors are free to explore our grounds, follow our tree trail and discover some of the notable burials in the cemetery.

Masks must be worn in the chapels and social distancing must be observed.

The chapels will be cleaned between the sessions, hand sanitiser is available.

 Due to COVID-19 restrictions numbers will be strictly limited to 14 visitors at each session.

Two sessions are available:

• 10:00- 10:45
• 11:15- 12:00
