Join us for an evening of reflection to remember the victims of the Holocaust

Wednesday 26 January, 2022

Council Chamber, Civic Offices, Reading, RG1 2LU.

Join us in person* or online from 7.30pm for this year’s hybrid event.

The theme for Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD) 2022 is One Day. One Day that we put aside to come together to remember, to learn about the Holocaust, Nazi Persecution and the genocides that followed in the hope that there may be One Day in the future with no genocide. We learn more about the past, we empathise with others today, and we take action for a better future.

Keynote Speaker: Mr Tom Lake, the son of Jewish refugees from Vienna

The event will also feature:

  • Candle lighting & Memorial Ceremony
  • The Maidenhead Synagogue Choir
  • The language of genocide in Nazi ideology by Prof Dan Stone, Royal Holloway, UL
